We have not had internet for some time now and I am not sure I can get all done on this time, but will try. First I must tell you about our little hitch hiker from Montana. He had relatives in CA by the name of Mickey Mouse. We must say that if you do not come over the border with the proper passport it is not a pretty site. Needless to say he is no longer with us.

The rainbow at Athabasca Falls is beautiful and of course the end was at the botton of the falls. The Athabasca River is forced into a narrow gorge. It is not a far drop, but forcing the water to come together in this small channel creates a lot of power and noise. Just a note the water in the Athabasca Rivers is heading to the Artic Ocean.
On Rt. 1, Trans Canada Hwy. they have these bridges built just for the animals to cross. The roadway is fenced on both sides and the ramp leads to these bridges which are as wide as a two lane highway. The bridges are also fenced, planted in grass and some have trees planted on them. We did not see animals, but I think they are built so the animals can't see the road.
