A day at the rv resort.

We have arrived at Chesapeake Bay Thousand Trails RV Resort in Gloucester, VA.
We are parked very near all the activities here.  The spaces are nice and big and set up so you really do not see your neighbors.

I thought I would show you around the place.

This is our resort dock on the Piankatank River.  We are planning on taking the kayaks out there.  We saw a nice sandy launch between the dock and the boat ramp.  Rog said he has to be careful when he goes in because when he went on the dock and saw a jelly fish.
There are many things to do here at the resort.  You can see the horseshoe pits behind the picnic tables.  What a nice place to play and enjoy the river.
Love the beautiful trumpet vine
Driving around we spotted a forest of satellite dishes.  There are lots of trees here so when you find the right spot well .....
This is a lake on the place.  It is a catch and release.  I am not sure what you catch and release.  There are also two ponds you can fish in too.
Sunset.
You do not have to have an RV to stay in the resorts.  Most, if not all, have cabins and park models for people to rent.  Here are some nice sized cabins on the lake.
They also have a really nice place for tents and tent trailers to stay.  They have power and water hook-ups.  Laura is a tenter and she loves coming to Thousand Trail Parks because she can use her electric fry pan and heated mattress pad if necessary.  LOL
Here we see the basketball court, volley ball court and to the left out of view is the baseball field.
This is the family pool.  It is really quite big and noisy right now.  Having fun.
The adult pool is on the other side of the family pool.  Earlier they were playing water volley ball.  Rog and I went in after I took these pics and it was really nice and refreshing.
You can see here the shuffle board area, tennis or pickle ball court and behind them is the miniature golf course. If you not not having fun here you are just not trying.  Plus they put on all kinds of fun things to do if you wish to join in.
This is the lodge.  They are open for breakfast and dinner.  There is a game room for the adults and one for families.  Also in the open area on the end they hold parties and singing groups preform there.
They also have a store.  It was closed when we tried to go.  They usually have the "oops I forgot stuff" there and kids play things.

It is really a very nice park. We are quiet pleased with our membership in Thousand Trails.

With all the excitement with the rv repairs, wondering the cost, wondering when we would get our home back, and sleeping in uncomfortable strange beds for two nights, we just stayed home and got the laundry caught up and cleaned and rested up.  I am not sure what we are planning for tomorrow.
