Good-Bye/birds

Laura is all packed and we dropped her off at the airport this morning.  We had a great visit, but it was too short.  She is so much fun to be around.  We have so much in common.  We both like crafts and now we are into knitting.  We will knit anything from Christmas ornaments, hats, blankets, sweaters, shawls, to snuggies.  We play cards, this time it was hand and foot with David.  We like seeing the same things, mainly outdoories stuff.  And we laugh at the same things.

We just got a text message from Laura and she is in DenverNow she has to take the buses to get to her house.  She did not want to pay for the extended parking and left her truck home.  She will call soon to let me know she got there.
Talked with David too he is sounding great.  Love hearing from my family.
When traveling on the freeway near the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood Airport you may get a windshield full of airplane as it comes in for a landing.  The run way is just at the edge of the freeway.  I haven't had my camera real handy when the airplane fills up our windshield, but this is a cool pic of a big rig and airplane together.

This pic was taken just before the above pic.  There could be many captions for the pic.

Jet lands on freeway no one hurt.
Jet lands on new elevated runways to save space.

This is a family of Ibis.   The parents are teaching the little ones how and where to poke and dig around the sand for bugs.

I am always learning new things I can do with my camera.
